The creation of Apizza di Napoli® comes from a profound love of Italy and a passion for pizza.
When Cliff first came to Aiken, South Carolina in 1982 he realized that this area had none of the various Italian delights that he grew up with, especially growing up Italian in New Haven CT. For many years Cliff had the yearning to recreate the foods that he missed. That this desire to create was not only a craving for good pizza but a passion and a passion he wanted to share with friends and family. In 2012 with the support of his wife that passion and dream became a reality and Apizza di Napoli was born
Ours is a very casual restaurant with atmosphere. We want you to feel welcomed, whether dressed up for a nice night out on the town or dressed down for a relaxing evening with friends. We try to offer very high quality food at a reasonable price. Our guests order at the front counter, find themselves a seat and we take it from there. We deliver the food to your table when it’s ready and we bus the table when you leave.
Pizzaiolo Cliff Garzzillo
Born and raised in New Haven, CT his grandparents immigrated to the USA from the city of Amalfi.
Cliff Garzzillo is a trained and certified pizzaiolo who is proud to serve you traditional Neapolitan wood-fired pizza made from premium ingredients imported from Italy. This strong statement is backed by our commitment to specifically selected high quality ingredients, made in a traditional manner with old world equipment. For example, our pizzas are made with San Marzano Tomatoes, which come from the base of Mount Vesuvius in Naples, we also use Fresh Whole Milk and Buffalo Mozzarella. Our dough is made from the finest "00" flour imported from Italy. All of this combined with a passion for pizza gives you the best "real" pizza you can find in South Carolina.

My wife Wanda with her Italian upbringing & our head pizzaiola Kirstyn with her passion for cooking continually come up with new ideas and our award-winning menu continues to grow and delight. We’re updating our menu regularly to keep you coming back. Now serving pasta dishes sure to please!
